Trial Schedule / Attending the Trial

The Wiwa v. Shell trial will begin on Wednesday, May 27, 2009,  at 10:00 am with jury selection. Opening statements will begin at the conclusion of jury selection; most likely on May 28. Court will be in session from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Court will be closed on the following dates: June 5, 10-12, July 3, and court will be in session on June 9 from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm only. Updated information will be posted here when available. Please check back for scheduling changes.

Please note that space will be limited on May 27. Long lines at security are expected; those attending should arrive at least one hour prior to trial.
